Chess Rank does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data from its users.
The extension reads player usernames visible on Chess.com pages and queries the Chess.com public API (api.chess.com) solely to retrieve publicly available ELO ratings. This data is cached temporarily in memory and never sent to any external server owned by the developer.
User preferences (e.g. badge display toggle) are stored locally on the user's device using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage API and are never transmitted anywhere.
No analytics, tracking, advertising, or third-party data sharing of any kind is performed.
